NebularStack
NebularStack is our cloud-native platform for building and delivering secure, distributed, and scalable applications, including our subscriber management system.
It is all in the name...
We named our system "NebularStack" to reflect its core principles and capabilities. Inspired by the vastness and potential of a "nebula", symbolising growth and transformation, and combined with "stack", representing the layers of technology that power our platform, the name captures our vision of building scalable, cloud-native solutions with limitless possibilities.
Architecture
NebularStack operates on a microservices architecture, with multiple endpoints delivering various applications and services. This design supports horizontal scaling across different regions, making the system highly distributed, redundant, and easily scalable.
The platform organises data using:
- Domains ensure complete isolation of your data for services. (These domains represent your business)
- Tenants represent groupings of your customer-related services. (They can correspond to a customer but are flexible enough to fit other use cases)
Applications and services are accessible via public REST JSON APIs or user-friendly interfaces. The system also employs role-based access control (RBAC), which allows users to have multiple roles with specific permissions for enhanced security and flexibility.
Continuity Planning and Security
We continuously monitor the public exposure of NebularStack's infrastructure to minimize unnecessary access and reduce the attack surface. Additionally, all components of NebularStack are monitored 24/7 to ensure optimal performance and security. Daily backups are performed, and all backend systems are secured with replication, clustering, or both for enhanced reliability and redundancy.
